Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

WayForward OT Training uses artificial intelligence (AI), including generative AI tools, to support some business activities such as content development, administration, research and communications.

We are committed to using AI responsibly and maintaining appropriate standards of privacy, accuracy, confidentiality and professional integrity.

Privacy and confidentiality

We do not intentionally enter identifiable client information, health information or other sensitive personal information into publicly available AI tools.

Where information is used for educational or business purposes, reasonable steps will be taken to remove identifying information.

Accuracy and professional judgement

AI-generated information can be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated. AI is therefore used as a supporting tool and does not replace professional judgement.

AI-assisted content relating to occupational therapy, aged care, legislation, funding, clinical practice or research is reviewed by a person before being published or relied upon.

Clinical decision-making

AI is not used as a substitute for professional assessment, clinical reasoning or decision-making. Our educational resources are intended to support professional learning and do not replace individual assessment or professional judgement.

Transparency and responsibility

Where AI contributes to content or services, WayForward OT Training remains responsible for the final information provided.

We will not intentionally represent AI-generated content as human professional advice where doing so would be misleading.

Third-party AI tools

We may use third-party AI platforms as part of our business operations. We take reasonable steps to consider privacy, confidentiality and security when selecting and using these tools.

This policy may be updated as AI technology, regulatory requirements and our use of AI evolve.
