About the event
Two in three Australians with vision loss are aged over 65. Many are referred to Occupational Therapists for secondary outcomes of low vision such as falls, difficulty with medication management, withdrawal from daily activities such as cooking, and community access.
Under the Aged Care Quality Standards and the new Support at Home program, providers are required to deliver care that supports each person's independence, safety, and participation in daily life. Unidentified and unaddressed vision loss is a direct gap in meeting those obligations and a gap OTs are well placed to close.
This webinar gives you the practical knowledge and evidence-based strategies to identify, assess, and address low vision as part of your everyday community aged care practice.
